BugHerd alternatives

BugHerd alternatives: 12 website feedback tools compared

BugHerd is a mature visual feedback tool, but it has no free plan and its entry plan is sized for a team of five. If you work alone, need a particular integration or want something lighter, there are good alternatives.

This list covers 12 tools, including FeedbackHive, which we make. They are listed alphabetically, not ranked: the right choice depends on your team size, your tools and what you review.

Prices and features checked on each vendor's own website on November 2, 2026. Tools are listed alphabetically, not ranked. FeedbackHive is our product.

At a glance

Entry price is the cheapest paid plan billed monthly, as shown on each vendor's site on November 2, 2026. "Not listed" means we could not confirm it there.

Why teams look for a BugHerd alternative

No free plan

BugHerd's pricing page lists paid plans only, with a short free trial. Freelancers who want to run a whole client project before paying look elsewhere.

Seats you may not use

The Standard plan includes five members. One to three people pay for seats they do not need, while a team of five may find it good value.

Key integrations on Premium

Trello, Slack and GitHub come with Standard, but Jira, Linear, Asana, ClickUp and Monday.com start on Premium, the third plan.

More than you need

Feedback on designs, PDFs and images is useful for some teams. If you only review websites, a simpler tool can cost less.

How to choose a BugHerd alternative

Count the people, not the price

Some tools charge per user, others include a fixed number of members, and many let reviewers in for free. Work out the monthly cost for your real team before comparing headline prices.

Decide where tasks should live

If your team lives in Jira, ClickUp or Asana, pick a tool that syncs with it. If you want feedback and tasks in one place, a tool with its own task list is simpler.

Check what reviewers must install

A script tag on the site means nothing for reviewers to install. A browser extension works on sites you cannot edit, but every reviewer has to add it.

Match the capture to your bugs

Video, console logs and session replay help with hard-to-reproduce bugs in web apps. For design and content reviews, a pinned comment with a screenshot is usually enough.

Look at what you review

Some tools handle PDFs, images, designs or videos as well as websites. If you only review websites, you do not need to pay for the rest.

Try it on a real project

Every tool here has a free plan or a trial. Run one real client review before committing, and ask the client how it went.

BugHerd alternatives: frequently asked questions

Is there a free alternative to BugHerd?

Yes. Among the tools on this page, Atarim, FeedbackHive, Pastel, QualityHive, Ruttl, Userback, and Ybug have a free plan. Each one limits projects, users, storage or how long feedback is kept, so check the limits against your project.

Which BugHerd alternatives have a browser extension?

Atarim, Marker.io, MarkUp.io, PageProofer, QualityHive, Userback, Usersnap, and Ybug list a browser extension on their own sites. The others are installed on the site with a script tag, or work through shared links.

Which alternatives record video or session replays?

Feedbucket, Marker.io, PageProofer, QualityHive, Userback, Usersnap, and Ybug list video feedback or session replay, sometimes only on higher plans. For the others we could not confirm it, or they do not offer it.

Which BugHerd alternative suits a web agency?

It depends on where your team works. Agencies that run projects in Asana, ClickUp or Jira often prefer a tool that syncs with them, such as Feedbucket. Agencies that want feedback and tasks in one place, with a free plan to start, can look at FeedbackHive or QualityHive.

Is FeedbackHive a good BugHerd alternative?

For the core loop, yes: a widget on the site, comments pinned to the page with screenshots, and a task list, at a lower price for one to three people. BugHerd is the better choice if you need integrations, a browser extension, video or feedback on designs and PDFs. Our one-to-one comparison covers this in detail.

How were these tools chosen and checked?

We picked tools that people often compare with BugHerd and that collect feedback on live websites. Prices and features come from each vendor's own website, checked on November 2, 2026. Anything we could not confirm there is marked "Not listed". Prices change, so the vendor's page is always right.
